BREAKING: A power boat pilot died after losing control and colliding with a stationary, unoccupied boat at its mooring in Hamilton Harbour around 3:45 p.m.
A power boat pilot died after losing control and colliding with a stationary, unoccupied boat at its mooring in Hamilton Harbour around 3:45 p.m. on Sunday, June 28, 2026. Police, Bermuda Fire and Rescue Services and Emergency Medical Services responded to multiple 911 calls about the marine incident. The pilot suffered a life-threatening head injury and was pronounced dead by an on-call doctor after being attended to at the scene. The co-pilot had a head laceration and was taken by ambulance to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital. Police said a video of the incident is circulating on social media and asked the public not to share it, and to contact police if they witnessed the collision.
