Questions are being raised about why Bermuda road crews are paving some stretches while other roads described as dangerous remain unrepaired. Sources from the Ministry of Works and Engineering, industry, and frontline workers say roads including Crawl Hill, the Shelley Bay stretch, and Middle Road Southampton near Jews Bay have been identified as higher-risk priorities. The scrutiny is also focused on work outside the Southside Police Station and on whether technical advice is being reflected in paving decisions. The Minister responsible for Works and Engineering has been asked to explain the criteria used to set repair priorities and whether safety assessments guide the schedule.
