Shortly before midnight on Monday, 18 May 2026, first responders were dispatched to the scene of a two vehicle collision involving a livery cycle and a motorcycle on Malabar Road in Sandys, near the junction with Kitchener Road.
Shortly before midnight on Monday, 18 May 2026, first responders were dispatched to the scene of a two vehicle collision involving a livery cycle and a motorcycle on Malabar Road in Sandys, near the junction with Kitchener Road. Initial information suggests the vehicles were travelling in opposite directions when the collision occurred. The motorcycle rider was transported to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital with injuries described as life-threatening,. The male and female occupants of the livery cycle were also transported to hospital for treatment of what are believed to be relatively minor injuries. Traffic in the area remains at a standstill while police work to clear the scene and investigate the collision.
